What does this website remember?
The site code itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies. It does use localStorage: small settings your browser remembers for this domain. These are preferences, not a stored visitor number.
portfolio-theme stores your chosen light or dark appearance. portfolio-language stores your chosen language. umami.disabled stores your objection to visitor statistics when you disable them on this page. These settings have no automatic expiry; they remain until you change the choice, clear site data or your browser removes them.
You can remove these settings through your browser’s site data controls. This also removes a saved objection to statistics. Set that objection again afterwards if you do not want to be measured. The preference applies per browser and device.
Statistics with Umami
Umami Cloud processes pageviews and a limited set of actions to provide insight into use of the portfolio. It does not use tracking cookies, but processes IP address and browser details to calculate a session identifier using a monthly rotating salt. Standard analytics records do not store the IP address as a field; operational logs may contain it. Cookieless does not mean that no personal data is processed.
Form contents and full referring URLs are not shared with Umami. The site respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. The setting on this page provides an additional way to object. This is a statistics setting; the website works when you turn statistics off.
Forms, media and external services
The contact form sends data to Formspree when you submit it. No external CAPTCHA widget is embedded in the site. If Formspree presents a security or confirmation page, that service’s technologies and policies may apply.
Current images, fonts and project videos are served as files from the site. Social and project links lead to external websites. If you follow a link, that service determines which cookies or storage it uses there.
When the site changes
New advertising tags, external embeds or other tracking technologies may require different information and prior consent. This overview must then be updated together with the technical settings. For questions, email frenkkester@gmail.com.
